Overview

CHESS is a web-based system in South Carolina that allows physicians, nurses, and lab professionals to notify the Department of Health and Environmental Control when a patient has any of the required reportable diseases. CHESS is used to report most reportable diseases, but CHESS is currently not used to report Tuberculosis or Lead.
