Overview

The WVEDSS is the West Virginia Electronic Disease Surveillance System (WVEDSS) utilizing the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS)-based framework to electronically (web-based) communicate communicable disease reports. The system serves healthcare providers, laboratories, hospitals, health departments and the CDC. A disease report is manually entered into the system and select users with access are able to edit and complete the report until it is ready to be sent to CDC.
