Overview

The General Directorate of Epidemiology (DGE) is the body responsible for advising the High Office of the Ministry of Health about the health situation throughout the country and in each region, health conditions of the populations, disease trends and response for prevention and control. The DGE leads the development of the National Epidemiological Surveillance Network in Public Health, promotes and facilitates Applied Epidemiological Research, Training and Continuous Training Specialist in Epidemiology and provides necessary assistance for the prevention and control of endemic diseases, epidemics and health risks caused by natural disasters and other health emergencies.
