Basic Information

Overview

The Iowa Electronic Health Markets was a research project at the University of Iowa that explored the use of prediction markets as a tool for disease surveillance. By combining the strengths of prediction markets with the knowledge of trading communities around the world, the hope was that these markets would report future infectious disease activity quickly enough to be clinically useful. This project is now inactive.
