The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is the lead agency in preventing disease, injury and disability; promoting health and well-being; and preparing for and responding to disasters from a health perspective. All Georgia physicians, laboratories, and other health care providers are required by law to report patients with the conditions listed under Notifiable Disease Reporting Requirements. Both laboratory confirmed and clinical diagnoses are reportable within the specified time interval.
