The Casal model reconfigures a model that was originally developed to predict the dispersions of toxic gases from chemical plants to simulate the atmospheric dispersion of viruses. They simulated two outbreaks (one of FMD and one of Aujewszky's disease) and validated the output with actual, ground truth data.
