Overview

The Spatiotemporal Epidemiological Modeler (STEM) tool is a framework for building and studying models of infectious diseases. These models can aid in understanding and potentially preventing the spread of such diseases. STEM is an open source software system and framework available through the Eclipse Foundation. STEM houses plug-ins that contain global geographic, population, and demographic data down to the 2nd administrative level. STEM can model scenarios where multiple populations are infected by multiple diseases. Additionally, STEM contains a model building framework which makes it possible for users to develop and test new models without any software development required.
